@Gary Clennan, great fun shots and am digging the rendering of that Siggy 50 1.4, I've always wanted to try one. I'm very happy with my Sigma 85, tried the 30 1.4 when I was using Canon and it wouldn't focus reliably so I returned it, very tempted to try either the 30 again on Nikon or the 50.
I've been pretty disappointed with my 50 1.8G, liked my 1.4G much better but I sold it, Your shots make me think my next 50 oughta be the Sigma
Kitehog – looks like the new pup was having a blast. Beautiful pictures, all.
Speaking of dogs . . . I was working on indoor available-light pictures last night. Shot with the Tamron 60mm and D5100 at 1/100 second, shutter priority, letting the ISO float up to 3200, and cleaning up the noise in Lightroom.
My wife was chopping raw chicken directly overhead (ISO 3200)

Thanks. The Siggy 50mm is perhaps my favorite portrait lens. Whenever I need AF and am shooting people, I often reach for this lens. The bokeh is sooo smooth and produces some great results. I also think the focus issues are not quite as bad as many would have you believe. Shooting at f/1.4 is tricky at the best of times. Take care.
