Is that at ISO 100? If so, just more evidence that the D200 at ISO 100 is just terrific.
Naah, I rarely set it on ISO 100 unless shooting long exposures at night. Pretty surprised I had it as high up as 400 in the middle of the day, but there you have it. I have not noticed any issues with the D200 until ISO 800 and above.
Actually wound up selling that camera recently... miss it now. The D90 feels like a toy in my hands, in comparison. Trying to decide whether I should get a D300 or just jump to step 25.
I believe it was a Lightroom 2 conversion, and the main thing I did was lower the "dark" level quite a bit and then I used the default medium contrast setting. In color, it was just an okay image, but it jumped out at me in B/W.

Gary....kinda shocked at how well the CV 40 looks. Didn't know the lens had such great microcontrast. Great shots
Thanks. It's very apparent in the first pic when enlarged. It is a very good lens which I don't use often enough. I brought it because it was nice and small and didn't take up much space in my backpack. I have many other good pics from the weekend taken with it. It's a keeper!
I know about the greens in the last one and the noise in the first one, but this is only the provisional processed ones. Now I´m in the "various exposure" stuff and it takes a lot of time to do if you want realistic results.
