Thanks Runner, The hardest part was being my own subject. Not being behind the camera made it tough to get the lighting I wanted. I actually rested my arm and head on a big white piece of paper to get some reflected light.

Thanks for the input guys. I always appreciate it. I have to admit I was a little hesitant shooting a symbolic image as I respect all people’s belief. This was more of a personal shot inspired by the WA. I think prayer is one of the largest forms of communication and has been around from the beginning. I had a hard time with the title. I kept leaning towards something that was in the form of asking, which seems to be why we usually prey. I thought "Thank You" would be nice.
Incredible shot. Great portrail of emotion. I can't imagine how you accomplished this. Forgive my ignorance, I'm a lighting newb. Is it done with only one light & a reflector (the white piece of paper you mentioned)? Or is it two? I agree with ironabike, finalist for sure.
