p.1 #1 · Tokina 16-50 Review (anyone read Russian?)

I found this write up on the Tokina 16-50. The problem is that it is not in English. Russian maybe?

Can anyone make any sense of this?

p.1 #3 · Tokina 16-50 Review (anyone read Russian?)

things to note are, from the russian review, the lens is slighlly noisy but not annoying, the distortion is practicaly absent, he also notes that he didnt notice the lens vignete either. he didnt get a change to test the lenses resolution, to see if can handle a 10mp camera, but sais it seems to be fine like he 12-24. he sais one of the biggest disadvantages is chromatic abberations, mostly at 16mm, he sais its easy to correct in pp. he sais the lens is sharpest at wide open at 16mm and zooming closer to 50 gets softer.
thats about it

Google can translate most web pages, thought not always too well.

Here's what Google did with the link above. Hopefully it makes enough sense as you read it!

Yes, It is in Russia and is 3 wekks old. Short summary - good lens with mild softness WO. The other flaw is quite pronounced CA at WA, especially at 16mm. Guy used it in Nikon mount.
If any particular questions - I can try to find&translate to you some quotes...

Thanks everyone. I knew there would be folks on this forum who could shed light on this. So, basically no big surprises. Nice lens with CA and some softness WO.
