Thank you very much. This is my first shoot I have done on a digital camera. I am not to familiar with photoshop and all the edits. Just going off of experience with using the old fashion 35mm. I was skeptical of putting anything up here because of the lack of experience however, I took this shot yesterday in Norfolk VA of the battleship USS WISCONSIN and it just so happen to be the first picture I tried to do edits on and Ironically the weekly project was about a theme that I felt worked. Everyone has been so helpful up here and I am very grateful. Thanks for the compliment.

First of all GREAT SHOT!!
I looked up the ship number and thought you might like to see an early view of her.
Best of luck,

This is a shot of the old Roosevelt Battle Ship that is retired now I believe. Part of a Museum here in Norfolk called NAUTICUS. So I thought that would be old technology right.
I keep coming back to enjoy the elements of this. The towering bow, the curves ,bolts rivets, the buildings and the focus throughout the image. Did you shoot this at 18mm. Great shot.
Thank you! Yes I shot this with a 18mm Nikon D40! I am proud of the shot especially being that it is my very first digital shoot! Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Hi Steven,
Great shot, a very nice composition, the sepia tone works very well. Can I ask if you used a wide angle lens to take this picture? The curves are wonderful. Good luck this week.

Thanks Nick. This shot seems to be doing well. I didn't use anything but a manual focus with a Nikon D40 18-55mm. Was at the right place at the right time I guess.
Really! Wow, thank you. I hope it does well. She deserves it for all her history and still standing there looking strong! Win or not, I am jhappy to share such a great History behind the Uss Wisconsin.
