Aw, Steve... You're telling me that you want to learn from ME This photo is going to be one of the shots to beat this week. The sepia is gorgeous and the whole overall effect is superb. Bravo!
One to beat? Aw man, I just wanted to practice using a digital camera. I see great quality by great people up here. I am not in the catagory. Just captured a moment at the right time for the assignment thats all. You guys have the skills. But I love the feedback so that I can get better.
Thank you Lowell. I never imagined this being one that may have a chance of winning. If she does than I give my respect to her (Wisconsin) for all she has done for our country! I am honored by all the great comments.
Regardless of what happens, this has been a great experience coming to this forum and going digital for the first time. A great week and a half and looking forward to moving forward and making more connections with you great people.
Darn it! I wish I weren't so late in getting here because anything I say will be redundant, if deserved. So, all I'll say is, welcome! And it won't be long before we're learning from YOU. You're a natural.
I saw somewhere about finals? How do you know if you make it? Maybe I have a shot at it. Not sure how this WA works cause this is my first time. I no its already past the due date so how does it work after that? Anyone?

Thank you Christian. Have you been up here with FM for a while? Would love to get to know some of you fine photographers.
Steven,
I have been here for a little over a year and actively participate in the WA (every week for a year now). I have also bought and sold some gear here on FM. I'm a novice, just go my first dslr/slr in fall '05 so I'm new to the whole manual control stuff. But I'm a decently quick learner and I'm having fun. I am very greatful for all the posted suggestions and comments from all the great folks here. My son is into baseball so I do quite a bit of that and then it seems like I bring the camera everywhere anyway
You can check my primitive/prototype website at www.miramis.com. It is still under construction, just have not had the time to fix the quirks. I also have a small gallery here on FM too.
Your shot this week is a winner for sure. Good luck!
Christian
Steven, you sure can see why they call ships "she" or refer to them with feminine pronouns. The angle you have here seems to really hit me that way....anyway. Great shot, and best of luck!
