People are already making assumptions that this is really happening next week. I'm still cynical that anything is going to happen.
I really laugh at all the criticisms of a camera that hasn't been announced as yet. Even if they do announce something, we have no idea what it's going to be.
The Full Frame D3H does sound like something Nikon would do. Nikon seems to be all about finding holes in Canon's lineup and aiming a 44 mag at them.
If Nikon released this at 5k, im pretty sure it would tempt a lot of shooters who are torn between the 5D (full frame) and the 1D MkII (Pro Body) and don't want to buy a 1DsII (and also might attract some users who are sore about the lack of a 1Ds Mk III)

I really wonder why they would make it 1.13? Kinda silly, why not just make the damn thing 1x so people don't complain.
Well, if you read the thread there (post #17) you will see it's due to the process of manufacturing of the sensor. Of course, that post is a rehash of dpr... But anyway, it seems to make sense.

Well, it is great news, no doubt about it, because extra competition means lower prices for all. That said, a 1.13x crop does not equal FF.
You are aware that the 5D isn't FF either. Granted it is closer to FF than the leaked specs for the D3, but a 16mm on a 5d will effectively be 16.5, and it will be 17.6 on the D3.
If this is true, and the Price point is comparable to the 1D Mk III, ie no more than 4999, then you are looking at an awesome camera.
And what's more, Nikon has made it so the DX lenses are still usable on this camera.
It's an interesting story but the 'specs' are all this or this so I doubt the man in Japan had any valuable inside information. I think Nikonians are trying to generate traffic (ie revenue) the National Inquirer way. Time will tell.
