I don't have that specific lens but have owned a few Kiron lenses. They were a relatively highly regarded 3rd party manufacturer. They produced a number of nice lenses. I copied the following information regarding the OM version of this lens from http://members.aol.com/olympusom/lenstests/default.htm
It's not much but it's a start.
Kiron 28mm f/2 MC (multi-coated)
OM-4 with mirror and aperture prefire
Vignetting = B- @ f/2, A- @ f/2.8, A @ f/4
Distortion = none
Aperture Center Corner
f/2 C+ C
f/2.8 B+ B
f/4 A- A
f/5.6 A- A
f/8 A- A-
f/11 A- B+
f/16 B+ B+
Notes: Very cool image; moderately high contrast, except moderately low
at f/2.
Thank you very much for the info. I guess not too many people out there using this lens.

From my experience Gary Reese's lens tests do not correlate to FF DSLR performance. I've tested over twenty lenses he has listed, but my results on a Kodak SLR/c did not match his. That said, the Kiron 28/2 is an excellent value. Not quite up to the optical standards of an excellent Zuiko 28/2, but surprisingly very good. For an 28mm f/2 lens, the price can't be beat. It's also available as a rebadged Vivitar 28/2
I have some experience with a Kiron 28/2. It is a quality 28mm. At non-close focus distance, the Nikkor 28/2.8 (the better Ais version) seems a bit better but not by much. At very close focus distant, the Kiron 28/2 which has CRC as is the Nikkor but still seems better then the Nikkor.
