Glad you said what it is, I'd probably never guess it. I really like the patterns in both the dunes and the tire tracks. And, for shooting from a helicopter, this is amazingly sharp. Great image!
You sure that's just not the top of macro'd bread, and you're messin' with my mind.... This is really interesting, nice perspective. Those tire tracks are nice focus points. Mike
Thanks Jon, I shot a 1gb card of pics and almost all of them are useable if not quite nicely sharp EXCEPT the most compelling and dramatic shot of the dunes which I took a minute after this one. I was quite disappointed, but hey... what can you do? This was my first time in a helicopter and I remembered reading somewhere to get the highest shutter speeds possible while shooting to keep things as sharp as they can be and it was pretty good advice I think...
As many times as I’ve flown over those dunes, I never would have pictured this. I see those tire tracks as scars on the land, and you turn them into art. Well done.
i've been a way a good amount of this week and i'm so GLAD is scrolled through all the entries...this one is pure delight! like mikem said...it's messing with our senses!
