I talk a bit on FM, but I rarely post any pictures; I don't like to put client images on the web and I seem to be shooting for clients a lot more than for myself...
In any case, comments and criticism would be nice on these...
Thanks guys... I photoshopped number 2 a bit because I couldnt get that exposure with the sun and my flash, so I put it back together with two images, and I photoshopped 4 with a brown overtone... the rest is exclusively ACR processing, I think, where I try and do as much as I can... most of the color can be attributed to upping shadows, contrast, brightness and saturation a little along with fiddling a bit with white balance and tint...
Her neck strap, on the other hand, is exactly how it is and how it should be...
these are all D2H, by the way... I'll find a picture of me taken with the D2X... unfortunately I am not quite as good looking as she is.
I'm not sure how I avoided lens flare... The settings for the sky in that shot were iso 400 (cause I forgot to change it) 1/8000 f/22...
The rest of the exposure is basically black, except for when I had my flash on full power pointed right at my wife standing two feet away, and even then she was dark.
It was bright out! I think if I wanted to create that shot in one exposure I would need ND filters and a ton of power with a studio flash...
at ISO 100, I would have been at f/22, 1/2000, so three stops of ND wouldve done it... in an ideal world, four or five wouldve been better...
All of the ones I shot were at ISO 400... I reduce the noise in ACR by bringing the shadows up... The noise in the black areas, if it exists, usually disappears because I like the shadows to be really, really black.
