Took this snapshot at the local airshow this afternoon. I just laughed. What a setup..!

Now that's what I call a zoom lens! Just set a bunch of primes up in a row...

Here's a longer shot of his setup John. I laughed out loud when I saw it. I'd love to see his results...

John,
Judgeing by that "gents" expression in the second shot, I would have to guess that you were shooting with your Canon.

Yep, it was pretty impressive...

I've got the first part of my gallery up. I didn't want to spam the boards with a bunch of photos. I may post a few tomorrow though...

There's a bird shooter out there that uses a similar setup. I don't remember the guy's name, but he stacks three cameras vertically in a custom tripod arrangement AND has them synchronized to fire at once with one cable release. His rig is equally impressive.

WHAT THE!!!!!!

I have to ask a few questions about that.....

1: WHY
2: How many shots does he miss when trying to swing that monstrosity around to follow action?
3: Does he need a permit to transport that?
4: Is that part of the SETI array?
5: WHY
6: How far are those tripod legs into the ground by the end of the day and does he need to scan for buried electrical wires before picking his spot?
7: Is the light meter in the second shot used to measure light or is it an early warning device for capsize?
8: Couldn't he afford a better chair?
9: WHY
10: Is he compensating for something?
11: What lenses were left for other Nikon shooters that day?
12: When on holidays does he hang that around his neck, or does he prefer a hand strap?
13: WHY

If he can afford all those camera's and glass, I'd recommend he'd get a nicer chair!!!!

Great shot that makes one wonder...
The chair I figured out...he has all his extra $$$ tied up in metal case to hold the lenses (look inside the 4 wheel cart)..
