Here is my best shot of the year...I call it "Stalker". I took it at the Pug Mark Big Cat Shoot in McKinney, Texas. I've thoroughly enjoyed everyone else's shots. I hope this one adds to the thread.

Hop in! We all have to start somewhere, and believe me... my first posts a year ago were PITIFUL, and my most recent posts, though greatly improved, still don't hold a candle to most of what you see here...
Yet everyone is still very nice, encouraging, and helpful. So go ahead... post!
Great images from everyone, first time posting in this forum. Here is my favourite shot from shot from 2006 even though I have not been shooting through all of 2006.
I don't think I have ever posted in this forum, usually hang out in the landscape forum, but here are 3 of my wildlife favourites for 2006 (taken whilst on a work funded trip to Phalaborwa and, yes, I counted my lucky stars):
From 5 hours in Kruger National Park on the day we flew out of South Africa (I kind of like the focus on the branches rather than the giraffe, you may disagree):
What a great collection! Thanks to everyone.
Here is my contribution, a special shot taken at the John Heniz NWR at Tinicum, an amazing spot across Interstate 95 from the Philadelphia Airport. I arrived early one morning to take shots of the two offspring in the Great Horned Owl's Nest and found mama bringing home breakfast.

Awesome photos here. Truly inspiring.
I don't know if this was my best, but it was definitely my most challenging.
I was pushing the limits of my equipment here by using 2 tubes and a teleconverter through a window..... Too bad for that shadow.
I just wanted to tell the good folks who post on this forum what a real pleasure it is to see such wonderful work. It is a great learning area and a special thanks to those who post the shot information with their photos – this information is a big help to us trying to learn.
I have posted comments several times and I have sought advice. The responses have been great and I know I have made better decisions and saved myself a lot of headaches because of the sharing attitude the majority of people have on this forum. Thank you all and have a great and safe new year. Steve W.
