Do trees have a soul? This tree might certainly have an evil specter within that constantly distorts and entwines its own growth. Photographed on Halloween, you just might catch a glimpse of the soul personified.

Thanks Endre. This tree stood alone at the edge of a field, and reminded me somewhat of the whomping willow in the Harry Potter books. As I took the shot on Halloween, it really needed the dark and desaturated processing.

Thanks Tom. The tree is located at Longwood Gardens in PA. My wife and I were there on Halloween for the annual mum displays. Wonderful day, and lots to photograph. The face is a sculpture from a fountain on the premises. Fit perfectly with the persona of the tree.

John, thanks for the nice comments. My wife was wondering why I was taking this photo, but I thought the tree was creepy and had personality. I'm glad I could capture that.
