Interesting how, shot at this height (or level) and organized this way,
The composition could be of a future architectural wonder
(such as the Opera House in Sydney).
Most interesting perspective, and beautiful lighting-
Kindest regards,

Thanks, Art. I thought of that myself. Out here in LA we have the Disney Hall that was designed by Frank Gehry. It's an amazing structure and is probably one of the most photographed buildings in this part of the world. (Consequently, I've never gone out to shoot photos of it since everyone else already has.) This shot reminded me of it but your likening it to the Sydney Opera house is even better. I'm glad you like it.

All the best,

Endre

Endre,
Another great shot! The lighting and focus are as good as it gets congratulations,

Thank you so much, Tom. I like doing still life shots because one can really push the camera to it's optical and mechanical limits. So glad you like it.

Stupendous! That green albumen is a bit yucky, but a good contrast with the red wood grain.
Hey, maybe you should try making an albumen print of this?

Good idea, Jess - an albumen print! Thanks so much for the comment. I always appreciate your opinions of my postings.

I would have been very disappointed if someone had not submitted a broken egg shot this week. You've mad the WA 223 entries complete, Strad!

You have a good eye for sensual lighting and tonality, and this is a good example. This image screams "wet and icky", mainly due to your lighting and background/surface selections. So many folks might have shot this from directly above on a white matte surface with soft light. That would have been fine, but this is far more sensual.

Well done, as usual.

Thanks, Ken. I really appreciate your taking time to comment so extensively. I love high contrast and vibrant color so this was a particularly fun assignment because I knew that the black background would contrast beautifully with the white of the egg. I'm really glad you like it.

All the best,

Endre

Ahhh... you didn't take any of the last consignment? They... er... weren't rubbish pills.
*cough*
Small? Brown? Looks like they came from... um... a rabbit....
*cough*
I have a confession.
*smiles weakly*
I may have mixed up your shipment. I think they may have fertilised your creativity. Not quite raspberry flavour... apologies. Might want to pop round to the doctors. Just to be safe.
Yup.
Anyway.. that's all behind us now. I've forgotten about it, so you must surely have too. That's good. Right... New batch of raspberry flavour rubbish pills heading your way. Nothing can go wrong. I packed them myself.

Lovely job.

I did notice a rather striking change in texture, appearance, and flavour (if you can call it that:worried: ) I figured that it was just a change in the course of medication. Oh well,., seems none the worse for wear.

(Now, if only I could stop hopping about from place to place.)

Perhaps Mrs. Fibble cut you up and tossed you out because you were mixing up the Rubbish Pills with other extraneous compounds.

I'll have to resume the course when the Raspberry ones arrive. Can't wait!

All the best,

Endre

Great composition, Mr Strad, and technically spot on. You really do the lighting so well on these indoor shots. Impressive.

I think I must have missed the 'barking llama incident'. Why do I get the feeling Flibble would like California, if only they'd let him into the country....

Thanks, Suse. I always appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments.

I suspect that the "Barking Llama Incident" occurred while you were away on holidays. Suffice it to say that it was very distressing to all concerned. As to Fibble coming out to California - he'd certainly find many compatible spirits out here as the Earth does seem to tilt and anyone not quite tied down does tend to eventually rattle over to the West coast. I think he would first have to make it past the guards at his own facility, though, before they'd let him come to any of ours here in California.

All the best,

Endre

Thanks, Mary. The egg seemed the obvious choice. I'm glad you like the result.

Thanks, Peter, my friend. Always great to read your comments. As I said in my initial posting - I assumed that there would be several broken egg shots which is why I didn't look at the thumbnails lest I second-guess my shot. I'm glad you like the resulting photo.
