I received the refund today and was very dispointed that the conversion kit could not come to me before the delay. However, I wish the money was not refunded and I would wait until you resolve the problem. I had my own struggles with my own customed adapters where I was ridiculed but in the end I kept working on it and now the product is working perfectly. There is so much energy, time and money has to be put in to create these products. I will fully support your works if you need any assistance. Let me know and like LeSong and Graham mentioned don't give up on the great job you have already begun. This is my first time commenting on your product here publicly. I am sure you know that I am a believer in your conversion kit and will continue to support this great project of yours. I hope I will be the first one to get the conversion kits when you feel ready to release them again. I am confident that you will resolve these issues and the success will await ahead of you. I believe with every new product, there will always be bugs. It is inevitable. As a customer of Conurus, I personally have enough faith in the product and the hard work that went into it that I am not quite ready to give up on it yet.

I work in a company specialized in new web technologies and I perfectly understand the kind of issues and problems that one can encounter during software development, especially at low-level, where you need to interface directly with electronics and embed some procedures in dedicated processing units.
For this reason, as the others here, I hope SINCERELY that you don't stop now your project and I'm sure that you'll find the solution very soon. So, don't worry and keep up the good work! This is your forum too and it's a fantastic place with great human beings.
I would like to know also if this kind of issue could halt or modify the planned schedule for the 645 adapter's release date.

I'm in the same boat, Andi and, I think, more other people are... I agree that Conurus's solution is a great opportunity to use some very good glass from Contax N and 645 systems and at this point I would like to know something more about 645 adapter.
I've an opportunity on a 645 Distagon 35/3.5 but I don't know how it could perform on a Canon body nor if it will be possible to use it. Someone knows this lens (is it on par with the C/Y CZ 21mm or Leica's 19mm)? And is there some adapter to start use 645 lenses on Canons (awaiting for the more advanced Conurus solution)?

The Contax 645 Distagon 3.5/35 is not in the par with your Zeiss 21 or the Leica 19. However, it is one of the best wide angle for the medium format for sure. But I would not rated it as the lens you must get. Go with your 40 CFE IF Hassy or the Sinar 40 mm F4. ZH. These are the lens for your medium format wide angle. I love the 55 mm F3.5 the most in the Contax N system.

Actually I'm in the situation in which I must choose a super-wide for my Canon body and, after evaluating the CZ 21 and other candidates, I'm leaning toward Leica's 19mm (last version). I've considered the 645 35/3.5 as a possible alternative but the more I learn the more the Leica seems to be the right and definitive choice (for me, at least).
Some day I hope to add a medium format to my equipment and the Hasselblad 40 CFE IF is my list now. Thankyou!

If you are using the lens on the Canon full frame body, I recommend the Zeiss 21 mm F2.8 (Jon Boring just won a contest with this lens and of course Jon is also a great landscape photographer himself and thus no surprise to see the success from the combination). If you have or plan to have the Leica DMR (the colors is really special here) then it makes sense to go with the Leica 19. And if you plan to go to medium format and wide angle, the Hassy 40 mm CFE IF is the choice.

I know CZ21 capabilities and I don't know if some day I'll buy a DMR system but, currently, I'm using an Apo-Summicron 180/2 and LOVE its colours on my little 350D; I love also its incredible sharpness and, last but not the least, built quality.
I've had the CZ15 and 18 but was not satisfied by 18's corner sharpness, even stopped down: otherwise its best feature was the compactness and almost no distortion.
After reading a ton of posts, seen examples and digged comparisons (a particular thanks to Hubsand and Marco for tests and samples), I've found this little Leica to be probably the best between the two: it has a little less corner-sharpness (wide open) than the CZ21 but I like its colours the more, it's compactness, low distortion (no 21's moustache), built quality and, obviously, the possibility to use it on a DMR (who knows what will happen in my future! ). It's also a *little* wider.
My opinion is that, at a so high level, it's a matter of personal taste too.
Other, more practical, considerations are about Leica as a company with good perspectives, good representatives and assistance (here in Italy), people that speak your language (it's a great thing, especially when you need to explain some technical issues that eventually happen) and an higher reselling value (in Italy at least).

Tornando agli obiettivi, in definitiva quello che mi stai dicendo, ed è anche quello che penso io, è, che alla fine, uno o l'altro è la stessa cosa: si tratta di scelte al top e quindi le differenze sono minimali. Certo l'ideale sarebbe di averli entrambi e provarli uno di fianco all'altro ma non sempre questo è possibile. Intanto prendo il 19mm, poi, in futuro, chissà!

so, you think Hassy 40mmCFE IF is a better lens than the Contax 35mm f3.5? i have the old 40 CF IF and I wondered if it's as good as the 40mm CFE(except without electronics) or the Contax 35mm? I don't have contax 35mm but I have the 45mm f2.8 (but it's not as wide).
At some point, I was thinking to get the 55mm f3.5, however, I thought at that time it's not as wide as the 45 and it's not as fast. I gave up the opportunity at that time. Now, after your comment, I might be regretted.
Emanuele, I think using a hassy 40mm or Contax 645 35mm on Canon will not be as sharp as even the Canon 35f1.4, I assumed?? The resolution of the MF lenses are not as good as the 35 mm lenses. However, the color and contrast can be very good. but this is just my 2 cents.
