I don't think I've seen any posts on this "sport". For those of you that don't know about it, I'll give a brief explanation: First of all, DON'T do it behind an outboard, sterndrive, I/O or any other boat that has a propellor that you could bump into, or hit with your body.
Wake surfing is great fun for all ages. You set up your boat to have a large wake (ballast required), then pull your surfer at 10-12 mph (whatever speed gives you the best wake). Once you get your balance, and get in the right "spot" you can throw the rope back into the boat and just surf along behind the boat. Lot's of tricks for the good surfers, so it stays a challenge + when you fall there's just not much pain involved for us older folks
These were taken with my buddies camera, by my buddy. So I'm not looking for photo critiques...just sharing the fun.

I've never done this but have just pulled a surfboard behind my boat for laughs. Is this something you need to be weary of DNR seeing you do?

It's completely legal, at least everywhere that I know of.
Just make sure you only do it behind a jet-boat or an inboard.
haha, i've actually seen some idiots doing it behind an outboard. This sport gives your legs in shape. After your first couple runs of the season your back leg is killing you. Its super fun though.
