Wow, great find and great photo. I really like the color treatment.

Are those things still in use? The EPA here in the States would shut them down.

Oh no The petrol station seems to have been converted to a house and these left outside.

There was a local village petrol station that had these in use until about 4 years ago though.

Wow, these are in need of some work. Well captured. The color really makes it.

3 other shots of the same pumps at the bottom of my misc gallery here

Was in 2 minds which would work best. Always open to suggestions - every day I realise how little I know and how much I can learn from others

Nice portfolio. I think you picked the right image with this one though. Suprising that the pump is measuring in gallons rather than metric.

Excellent capture Mike! The post processing works very well with the selective color, good job… It would be nice to the see the house that has these two as front yard decoration…

Thanks , appreciated.

I think there must have been a hut or something beside the pump as the house was very ordinary looking - but too close to the pumps for it not to have been associated in some way. Did not take one of it as a result (was getting strange looks as it was - English villages can be like that )

Mind you, if we ever do an 'ivy' theme, the house would have been a prime candidate
