Adam, what lens did you use for these? I'm guessing by the f/stop you used your 50mm. To get a shallower depth of field you should shoot at larger f/stop. My 50mm gets pretty sharp at f/2.2-2.5. Did you crop any of these? It is better to start close for a shallower depth of field then it is to crop from a distance (increasing your DOF). I find a 12mm or 20mm extension tube on the 50mm provides for some nice close-ups. The lighting looks a bit harsh in some of them. I would suggest shooting late in the evening/early in the morning for calmer light.

But i need your advise i find that my shots are not as sharp as i want them to be.

Are you sharpening them after sizing them for the web?

Thanks for sharing!

Mark

Thanks for your helpful insigeht Mark I actualy used my friends Tamron 28-300mm.
These shots were taken during the afternoon in Navy Academy in Annapolis, MD.

Yes as a matter of fact i am sharpening them after i am resizing them in CS2.
I hope thats not considered bad. To me the shots look pretty good. But i am no expert
they are not great but good in my opinion. Also Mark I don't think i am able to get my f below 3.5 i am go higher.
