If you want a really great hood for your f1.2, you might try the old HS-3. It was made for the old 55mm 1.2 I found one used years ago, and use it presently on my 28 3.5 / 70 4.5 D Nikkor.
I don't worry about vigineting, because I'm using this lens on the DSLR.
I like it cause it's deep, and keeps the front of the lens from hard knocks.
And it's metal..might be someone like Keh would have one.
The metal snap-on HS-12 hood is the Nikon specified hood for the 50/1.2, although it can be a little bit hard to find. The HS-12 can be stored reversed on the lens.
I prefer the HS-9 (for the 50/1.4) on my 50/1.2 as it is a little smaller but gives the same shading. It can also be stored reversed, but is a much snugger fit and the lens needs to focused out a bit from infinity to attach it. The HS-6 (for the 50/2 AI) can also be used, but can't be reversed for storage. Same would also apply for the HS-11 (for 50/1.8 AI/AIS). The screw in HN-5 (for 50/1.4, 50/2) and HN-6 (for 55/1.2) hoods would also work nicely, but these have been longggggg discontinued and are probably somewhat rare. In a pinch, the screw in HN-3 (easily obtainable) for the 35mm Nikkor lenses could also be used, but with obviously less effective shading than the 50mm/55mm dedicated hoods.
Lots of alternatives. Most are commonly found used on eBay. The HN-3, HS-9, HS-11 and HS-12 are still (for now) available new at B&H Photo, although all three HS hoods are currently out of stock / backordered. I would guess that the HS-9 and HS-11 are by now officially discontinued, as the 50/1.2 (I think) is the only manual focus 50mm remaining in the current lens catalog, so if you see a new HS-9/11 then grab it before it's gone.
