I know the D2x and D200 are supposed to be weather sealed, but I haven't heard which, if any, Nikon lenses are weather resistant. Could someone please enlighten me?
I know the 70-200mm f2.8 VR and 150mm f2.8 (AF-S, VR version) have extra weather seals, like the rubber ring on the mount, but I don't know if that makes them weather "proof".
The 18-70 is NOT weather proof, are you kidding me.. Just because it has the rubber ring doesnt mean its weather proof....
The thing I was getting at in my first post was that all of the high end lenses are pretty much as good as you are going to get, they all can handle harsh weather. Rain, snow, sand, etc very well.

I had to used my 28-70 in the rain once and it didn't like it very much. It was bugging out for a little while afterwards but after everything dried off it's working fine again.
