I just read this thread. My question:
I currently use a 1DS MkII with various "L" lenses. My specialty is sea scapes. I live & exhibit in a NJ coastal resort town. A lot of my work that I sell are matted and framed 20"x30" prints. From those using the DMR, can I expect to make high quality prints up to 20"x30"? I yearn for a small light weight kit such as an M8, to compliment my Canon kit. I presently own screw mount Voigtlander 21mm and 35mm lenses, and I was thinking of adding as my first additional lens a Leica 24mm ASPH (used). Even though I have the two Voigtlander lenses, I have used them very little, as I rarely shoot film anymore. Have any of you used these two lenses? I would plan on using them (at least initially) on an M8. My concern would be vignetting (although the 1.33 crop would help here). Exciting times.. Also what built in frame lines will be on the M8? Voigtlander would do well to offer external finders for their wide lenses with the 1.33 crop factor...would be a good seller, I think. Samples of the type of work I am interested in are here: www.modernpictorials.com
Thanks all...great thread!!! PS: has anyone advcanced ordered an M8? I see several dealers are taking orders.
