I know you all really miss my train shots, and I didn't want this week to get by without one

Actually, I shot two series today, awful light, but I was going nuts to shoot something and get out of the office. This is the next to the last of this series of shots..

The more I shoot the 80-400 the more I like it. Even with the 'slow' AF on this lens, it will still keep up with a 60mph train, so I think that's pretty good.

Nice shots, though the grass is definately greener when the train is coming

Yeah

the sun was out then, by the time the train had gone by, I did a 180 and I'm looking into a bright white haze.

Nice dynamic feel with the sweep of the tracks. Would be worth revisiting with rich color as the objective.
