Ill be posting my results of tests of all my Nikon glass on the 5D. Hope you enjoy them. I did some night tests last night with my 15mm AIS Nikkor, this glass is not usually recommended for night shooting as it does flare. I'll do some daylight shots today, and will make an effort to test all glass at night and during the day (long exposures arn't the best for pixel peeping).
I'll be posting larger photos that usual (I usually keep them to 600 x 480) since pictures that small are too small to tell things. Im guessing everyone here has at least a monitor which can do over 1024 x 768 by now, so this image size hopefully won't inconvenience anyone.
I'm sure will understand that the blurry flowers in the top right hand corner are due to the wind during a 30 second exposure
Now, I'm wondering if your better off doing a shorter exposure with higher ISO or longer exposure with lower ISO? There is some banding in the sky. Still, looks pretty sharp to me.

I like this one, although the tripod shadows are annoying!! Anyone know a trick to get rid of them? You can't clone out the whole area like that can you?
This was shot 30-40cm away from the car bumper. Note the reason its brighter in the centre is because thats where the sun is Also, note the perfectly straight polls etc throughout.
This is great. I was just going to ask a question about Nikkors on a Canon body. I'm looking forward to see some daytime shots. How well do Nikkors work on a 1.3 camera like a 1DMKII?
Is it possible to see/send some full size images?

Thanks guys.. I've been cooking all morning, Ill try and do some day shots, but now its raining outside. I'll probably do some night shots or sunset shots tonight with the 18mm.
Then I'll get onto the 45mm pancake lens and 100mm defocus control lens. One thing I have to say, its really not very hard to use these lenses on the Canon body. Infact, I barely find any difference between my FM3a and the 5D in that respect.
For a start, with the 15mm lens, it was still plenty bright to focus at f8, so I didn't even bother with the stop down. Except for some of my shots down a dark side street, but then you just meter once for the conditions, and for the rest of the time your just using much the same speeds anyway.
Finally, the "meter" only gives you the cameras idea of an exposure, which may not be anything like what you want for the shot. Anyways, Ill see if I can grab my wife for some quick portraits on the balcony
Here is a result from my 45mm f/2.8 pancake lens @ F4. My wife was cooerced into this quick shot, so excuse the composition. Some guy on dpreview was going on about how the 5D can't take sharp photos and he should get a 1DMk2N instead so he can focus on still life
Straight from Camera, RAW + Portarit style -> TIF in DPP -> 100% unsharp 0.3 radius -> Save for Web;
Nikor or Nikon glass on Canon bodies certainly does work.
For example the entire move "The Corpse Bride" was shot with a Canon 1dM2 and all Nikon glass. Why not Canon glass? It was simple they had decided to go with the D2H but when the images were previewed on the big screen (silver screen ?) the shadow areas had alot of noise that at times could be distracting. So instead of trying to sell all the glass and the D2h bodies they simply traded the d2h bodies for 1dm2 and voila the entire stop motion masterpiece was born.
The Leica one isn't the sharpest, the Nikon one is thought by many to be maybe the sharpest 50mm made. Although you can't see in the photo there because its at f/4, the Bokeh is also very nice due to the rounded blades.
