That's put me in a real dilemma about lenses! I've been looking for a wide angle lens for a while now. I had been thinking about the Sigma 10-22, but your Peleng has now made me wonder! Do you have any other fab shots done with it, maybe colour ones?
I don't have many shots at all yet. I wouldn't recommend this lens for general wide-angle use. It's a chore to use as it's all manual, the image quality isn't really super, and the distortion is a bit strong to not de-fish most pictures. You're much better off with one of the 10(12)-20(24) ultra-wide zooms, or a 15mm rectilinear fisheye (either Canon's or Sigma's 15/2.8). I don't think the 15mm needs defishing most of the time, with some care you can control the lines in the picture, but then I like the distortion. One of the zooms is way more useful though.
this is one of the very few fish-eye photos i like. very dynamic composition and intelligent play with diagonals. not to mention, nicely exposed in difficult (directly towards the sun) lighting situation.

Such a great tonal range, and the composition is so fine it makes a static subject extremely dynamic - emotionally moving, and almost physically moving!
Jess, my apologies for missing your comment, must have been because it was just before the page break. Thanks for your nice words!
