i happened upon an original canon 1.26x fd eos televerter on ebay. the adaptor has optics made of some exotic glass. may be somebody out there knows the name of the glass. the adaptor (in my opinion) displays no IQ loss.

Original Drebel still going strong. It belongs to my sister. I did clean the sensor for her. First time it's ever been cleaned.

I wouldn't worry about it, all she would have to do in post processing is rotate the image so it's right side up .
