I suppose....though I'd been there waiting to get kids and the actual parade for a while (as evidenced by the spy shot with the nikon guy taken at that same spot).
I do generally try and stay out of people's way if I'm not shooting something myself - didn't see her setting up that shot....sorry Dawn (and btw, had fun chatting with you yesterday)
Oh well....have had other photogs get in some of my shots too (but I usually get rid of those (and will from now on save them for this thread).)
I'll have to look in the car show photos if that guy with a x0D and 17-40 are in them....
This isn't really an "In Action" pic, but apperantly Apple thinks Canon makes a 480ex (and yes I know it says 430ex farther down the page, but it's still funny).

looks like a nikon or KM from the camera shape.
i may be wrong
It is definitely a Canon. In the full size pic, you can see it says "Canon" on the body. Plus the second camera hanging on his neck is a Canon. I am wondering about the lens because it seems kind of long for being on the sidelines of a game.
I think it's a 400 2.8L IS, though it looks shorter to me - though that could be the angle or a modified hood.
It has an IS tripod foot - the 300 2.8L has a small _|||_ foot, 400 2.8L 1/II have a _||||___ foot, the 300 2.8L IS and 400 4DO have |||_ feet, but all the IS primes besides the 300 and DO have \\___ feet.
The hood of the 400 2.8L IS is larger than the body of a 1D series. A gripped 20D is only slightly smaller than a 1D, and a 300 2.8L IS should not be much larger than the nonIS's hood, which are smaller than those bodies...
It's way too short to be a 500 or 600
(my drawings looked better in the text entry box.....)
I've shot from the sidelines of games with my 400 2.8L IS....

P.S. It was a Nikon that shot the picture.
oh ok..i can't really tell from the downscaled image..
A good friend of mine (azolotkov here on FM) took some pics of me in Nara. It's rare that someone takes photos of me that I actually like, but these ones caught the moment really well so I thought I'd share them with you here.
