Anyone at the Ashes Test (cricket) yesterday in Birmingham get a photo of the 1200mm L they were using with a video camera to get extreme close-up/super slow-motion footage of the batsmen at the crease?
You know, my fellow photographers after following this thread for a while, it dawn upon me that Nikon made the biggest mistake by producing the F6. In my mind, this is a tragedy of a organisation that still live in the past. If only they had channelled all that R&D energy into coming up with a new Dslr that would take on the 20D, they would be that much better off. Of course the 20D is not a perfect camera and lots can be improved. Only time will time, though, if they (Nikon) can come up with a new weapon that would put the 20D away. But then, Canon will have a new answer to whatever they will be coming up with. Nikon is just one step behind. Personally, as a Nikon user all my professional life, I don't think the D2X is that great a camera although I did note that Mr. John Shaw used the word "Wow" to described it.
That's a very impressive array of gear, but something bothers me... The two flash guns in the right foreground seem to be backwards. They appear to have their LCD screens on the front not the rear. I assume those are a pair of 550EX's. I know mine won't swivel that far over...

Any 550EX will swivel like that, but only in one direction. Only 90 degrees in one direction, so try the other.

Yeah, they are both 550's and yep they will swivel that far in one direction. They were swiveled that way when the shot was taken to improve the "look" of the technology.

Good eye!
Ok, I've got it now... The heads were rotated around rather than over.
