My 10-22mm should arrive monday, so I'll soon be able to contribute to this thread.

It would've been here today but Katrina delayed it

I took this tonight with my 10-22mm... Don't hate me when I say I wish it was slightly wider. ^_-

I appologise for the post processing, sadly, I'm working with fairly basic stuff on this end.

Nice shot saint-jake, but it looks like your rotate needs a wee bit more cropping. There appears to be a tiny white sliver of background peeping out from the bottom left.

This is as wide as it gets for me . . . 17mm on a 20D (Tamron 17-35).
All my wife's work, I just do the posting!

Hilton P,

Your wife does nice work. She makes that 17mm on a 20D look wider then it is.

WOW! This is a stupendous thread. Absolutely gorgeous photos and a fabulous array of images - really shows the versatility of these lenses. For sure it has removed all of my fears of buying an ultrawide lens and using it topside. I can't wait now!!

The only question for me now is Sigma 10-20 and save $250 for other goodies or Canon 10-22??

Here's another couple from me, taken with the Canon 10-22 from last week:

This is a rocky hill, covered in spinifex (veeery prickly, no bare legs) in the Pilbara region of Western Australia (on the road just north of Newman, to be precise):

http://www.pbase.com/simonb/image/48316912.jpg

and, when 10mm on the 20D just isn't quite wide enough, you have to stitch two:

A larger version of the last is available here

Love this thread, thanks for the inspiration!

Simon....

Thanks to simonbl and big hand for the advice on getting the picture to work for me!
