not sure if anyone here has encountered this problem. but my D70 decided to die on me and the cf light just blinks. camera wont power on. wont reset either.
a search on the web reveals that this isnt a islotaed case, but i wasnt able to find out how much it would cost or if its something that could be fixed myself.
i bought this camera used so i dont know if the warranty is applicable, then again, it is out of the warranty by about a month.

What lens were/are you using? The blinking can be cause by a lot of things, one of which is broken communications between the lens and the camera. Change lenses. Take the lens off and wipe the contacts on the lens and on the body with a clean rag. Remount the lens and see what happens. When I had a D70, it did not like my 70-200 Nikkor. I ended up sending both the lens and the camera back to Nikon, but for a month or so, I could usually get the pair to work together with a bit of coaxing.
