look for the red ring around the front. then look for the "L" after the type. and finally look at the price tag. you'll then know which one it is. since you have a few already you should know.
A red ring around the front isn't an indication of weather sealing. I have a 70-200 f/4 that is an "L" lense with the red ring that isn't sealed. I know the 17-40 f/4 L, 24-70 f/2.8 L and the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS are sealed. The 70-200 f/2.8 non IS is not sealed.
I'm sure there are others, I just can't think of which ones other than the above.
thanks for the replys. i just needed to know which ones are sealed cause i photograph mainly in japan, but when i get back here to hawaii, the track there is so bad, that when i get back home after just 2-3 hours of shooting, i has a film of dirt on me...
don't put too much into the weather sealing as a priority on the lens.
i have shot all over Japan. lots in the Daitsuzan NP on Hokkaido in all seasons and weather conditions up to Wakkanai and some of the eastern points of the island too. its my favorite part of japan. relatively unspoiled. and some of the best corn on the cob i've had (the vendors in Odori Park in the fall) thanks to WS Clarke and a few of his friends (look it up)
