SoldNikon 400mm 2.8D AF-S ED

Up for sale is a very nice Nikon 400mm F2.8D AF-S.

Included with the sale is everything shown in the pictures, which includes a KES tripod foot, (2) 52mm drop in filter holders and (1) 52mm Nikon Filter, along with the trunk, aquatech front lens cap, and strap.

As you can see the body of camera is in very good condition, with the only notable signs of regular use focused around the mounting surface of the lens hood (pictured). The aperture blades are 100% free off oil, snappy and excellent. Focus is fast and crisp, with all functions of the lens being 10/10.

There is very minor specs of dust in the lens which is to be expected, but no mold or fungus of any sort. There is one small scratch roughly 3/4" on the front element of the lens, well off to the very edge. I wasn't able to get good pictures. The lens was professionally inspected and has been proven by hundreds of pictures in various lighting conditions to show zero signs of picture quality issues from this.

I am the second owner of the lens, which was purchased from a family member along with many other items. The lens has always been treated with exceptional care, and stored in a climate controlled safe when not in use. The only reason I am selling is that I just cannot justify this lens sitting on the shelf not being used. I had great aspirations for sports and wildlife photography, but have found I just do not have the time or patience for those activities.
