Seems to be a good deal. I like that Canon has these specialty lenses, though I'd imagine the market for shooting VR video is pretty small.

130grams!!! I have been interested in experimenting with stereoscopic landscape. And I have moved to r7 10-18, 18-50 sigma for kit weight. For that price, its is a great toy for a try.
From what I understand,
- it only works on r7
- the narrow distance between the two lens on this lens would likely not create much stereoscopic at beyond about 20'.
- At best its only going to do 4k 30 with impacts of 32mpx splitting the resolution (eg good but not great 4k).
- it requries a big increase in processing skills and software. And canon free software only works up to 2 mins.
But I would quickly find out whether its worth spending $2000 on the high end version for the R5.
From what I understand,

Or you could rent the Canon RF 5.2mm F2.8 and see if it makes sense.
