I am looking to pick up decent conditions Pentx MX to dabble in film. I have my father-in-laws old little pancake 40 that I'd like to put to use as a little image to him and looking for a body.
Thanks for that. I've never dealt with them, are they pretty good people (as in can I trust when they say meter and shutter speeds are accurate). I saw a few "bargain" ones at Keh as well, I was debating on pulling the trigger on but thought I'd see if anyone wanted to rehome one first.
I just bought that Pentax! I always wanted an MX now just need to score that 50mm f1.2 lens to go with it!
My Camera west experience is they are good guys and if you have problems will take care of you.

I bought a 'just serviced' M4 from them. It had really bad, very easily visible to the eye shutter bounce. They wouldn't immediately accept a return, but had me send them a video of the shutter bounce before they approved the return.
I wasn't very happy about that.
p.s. get a Pentax 50mm f2 for like $30 while you are waiting to score that 1.2.
The 50 f2 is a fantastic lens - I couldn't tell the difference between that and my Leica Summicron 50.

I've purchased from Blue Moon Camera & Machine before, and they are great: Fantastic communication, fast shipping, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. I'm jealous: The MX was always a dream camera system of mine (even though I'm a lifetime Nikon guy). I have large hands so honestly the MX probably wasn't for me, but it sure ticked all my boxes back in the 80's! Enjoy your new purchase.
