p.1 #1 · R8 Mark II

It finally arrived!

First impressions:

- Yeah, don't like the look! Maybe it will grow on me.
- It is noticeably larger than the R8
- The size advantage over the R5 II isn't as dramatic as it was for the R8
- IMHO, in terms of size, it more closely resembles the R7
- The weight is noticeably larger than that of the R8
- It looks out of place next to the other Canon cameras.
- The vertical line separating the grip material from the rest of the body in the front greatly contributes to the weirdness of the look.

- IBIS Works!

The shot of the stuffed bird was taken handheld with the RF 85mm F1.4 L VCM in a dark room with only a faint night light in the corner. I think IBIS did a good job.

Thanks for the interesting comparison. One can literally see how IBIS increased the thickness of the body.
