I was wondering if anyone in the US has received an update on their order?
It seems to be back ordered everywhere, unlike the 400mm f4.5 which is in stock at B&H and shipping at Amazon.
The Sony rep for our area was at a local camera store two weekends ago. He said that they received a lot of preorders for the 600mm. Way more than for the 400. Two weeks ago he said if you had not already preordered the 600, you would not receive the lens in the first shipment of lenses. He said the 400 would be more easily available. That corresponds to what you are seeing. Looks like the 600mm f6.3 is a very popular lens.
FM user hoodlum90 posted this last week, appears Sony underestimated the demand for the 600 6.3 delivery will be delayed. I'm in the US and pre-ordered the day it came out, should get it tomorrow but B and H uses fedex clowns for some reason so who knows.

I pre-ordered from Vistek right away but have been told it has been delayed with no new delivery date. I see on Henry's web site it now says "Expected Availability November"
Is Sony relegating Canada to the end of the line?!
I was really hoping to have mine before I leave for Africa in early November.

I'll pull the trigger on the 600 soon. I'm still torn between the 300mm and the 400mm for the shorter end, but I'll figure it out.
RichP42, I can't reply directly to you as a new member but Henry's told me today that unfortunately we get the short end of the stick in Canada and they don't typically receive product for a week or two after official launch. Not sure if this is across the board or just with them but figured I'd share.
