I pruchased the camera from Japan about 7 months ago and have put about 30ish rolls through it with absolutely NO problems.
CLA explanation below as well as photo of camera in CLA.
Comes with FRESH: Fuji Provia 100f, Portra 800 and Ilford XP4 Super 400.
Camera "Overall" Condition:
1. Meter works perfectly. Never had any problems. Meter arm is in wonderful condition. It's extremely accurate. Had to put away my Sekonic because I trusted the M5 so much! BONUS!!
2. DIN/ASA dial works perfectly. Light wear. No dust under plastic cover. TINY sharksin piece on top of dial is intact.
3. Hot shoe shows almost NO wear.
4. "X" & "M" flash ports are perfect and clean. Comes with original (dual) cover.
5. Film advance number window works perfectly. Camera reset works as intended when opening the bottom plate. Number advance is perfect. Glass cover is clean with NO dust inside.
6. Shutter speed wheel works perfectly. Not loose, not too tight. Solid. Perfectly lubricated. (It better be after the CLA, lol).
7. ALL SHUTTER SPEEDS ARE ACCURATE!!!
8. Film advance is smooth and accurate, CLEAN.
9. Shutter button works perfectly. Clean and smooth. Soft shutter release ready and cleaned.
10. Viewfinder shows SMALLLLLL specs when looking at it from 6 inches to a foot away. BUT, when putting up to eye, you can;t see ANY dust. Inside of the viewfinder is BEAUTIFUL. Rangefinder patch is clear and accurate. ALL lens framelines work well and are bright!! GORGEOUS!!
11. Shutter speed DIAL and film selector on back spin freely and are tight to specifications. Set it and leave it without worrying about bumping it and having it move.
12. Film winder on bottom plate is smooooooooth and tight. No problems.
13. Film rewinder button on front of camera is tight and smooth, keeps lock.
14. Lens mount release is tight and accurate.
15. Self-Timer works perfectly.
16. Frameline manual lever on front of camera IS MISSING WHITE PLASTIC PIECE!!
17. Shutter curtain looks WONDERFUL!! Works great!
18. Inside of camera looks fantastic, barely any dust at all. All mechanical functions work perfectly.
19. Bottom plate removes and locks as intended, no problems.
20. Light-gathering window is CLEAN.
21. Camera has ORIGINAL meter battery! The compartment is in near-perfect condition, with nothing corrosive inside.
Exterior Condition:
- The camera itself is almost MINT. The exterior is as follows:
1. Light, short, and small "micro" scratches on the top plate above the Leica M5 logo.
2. 2 or 3 dings on top pate to the left of the Leitz Wetzlar logo. Very small. Look like pinpoints.
3. Miscellaneous micro wear (lol, pun) on top plate.
4. Sharkskin is perfect, except for a small area, about a 1-2mm piece missing on the bottom piece of the lug on the right side of the camera (if looking at camera straight on.)
5. Bottom plate is around 80-85% condition. But somehow does NOT show anything close to heavy wear.
Original leather case included. In above average condition.
