p.1 #1RAW Studio renders slightly different from in-camera JPEG
Has anybody noticed? The Fuji Raw Studio renders colors and contrast slightly different from the in-camera JPEG. Slight, but noticeable - in particular sky tones. To my surprise, LR Classic and RAW Studio output (Provia) are almost a perfect match. Tested with an X-E3 image.

Out of curiosity I tried a sample that includes a blue sky with clouds and foliage from my X100VI and they look the same to me.

Do you have an example (original jpgs plus the FP3 file)?

Different color space settings perhaps? I've gotten the exact same results with my GFX camera.

You can find the JPEGs and the RAW here:

The File with LR at the end is the Lightroom JPEG, OOC is from the camera, and RS is Raw Studio. The RAW file is one stop underexposed.

What do you mean that the RAW file is one stop underexposed - shouldn't the OOC jpeg also be underexposed?

Yes, but I added +1 in LR and exported. When you just download the OCC and RS version and toggle between them, the difference becomes quite apparent. Export from RS was with +1 but no other adjustments or filters.

I'd suggest ding this without the Lightroom step and see if you still get the problem.

That was what caused it: Without +1 adjustment, OOC and LR images look very similar. Thanks!

The RAW file is one stop underexposed because of in-camera DR applied to the JPG image.

"The Fuji Raw Studio renders colors and contrast slightly different from the in-camera JPEG."

Not sure about that one -- could be a software bug.

The JPEG was probably just focused beyond infinity.

Not understanding software and blaming the software, a tale as old as time.
