In 2018 I traveled to Pantanal and had pretty good luck spotting Jaguars. With recent improvements in photo editing tools some of which are helped with AI I decided to revisit those 2018 images. If I recall, I took these with my 7D Mark II and a 100-400mm lens. In the original image, the Jaguar had lots of twigs covering its face. I re-edited the photo and using newer improved tools was able to clean it up quite a bit. Maybe those tools were there before. I don’t know. I was still in my earlier years as an enthusiast.
I prefer the first image with the small amount of natural obstruction. The second has twigs that done make sense appearing in space and not connected to a source. If you want to remove them, think about keeping it natural. In the old days we would have to use the clone stamp to remove the twigs and that was a lot of work. The AI remove tool in photoshop makes this much easier. How do you feel about making the photo a bit brighter?
Thank you. I’m always open to new ideas and learning new things.
