I have always used back to back lens caps such as Optech for my camera systems when traveling as I find it much better space wise in my camera bag. To my surprise none exists for the Hasselblad X system. I made a first try using something cheap off of Amazon but the caps are far too loose to be safe for handling, the lenses literally untwisted from each other in the bag. My latest attempt worked far better using the Kipon caps which can be sourced from B and H photo. Much tighter fit on the lens. Sand the caps and apply a liberal amount of JB weld for plastic and voila.

That is a good idea, I did not and had to clean the outer edges of the cap with some rubbing alcohol before it dried. Very very strong bond, I tried to twist it apart and tried a shear load as well and it is not coming apart.
