This is the later variant with the built in lens hood. It’s in immaculate condition, optics are flawless. The body is clean, with minor usage marks. Under the front element there’s minor dust which is only visible with a light source. Calibration of the lens is great. I purchased it from Blue Moon Cameras, the lens was very well inspected.
No box, comes with original Leica leather pouch, original lens cap and B+W KR1,5 E60 filter.
Aperture clicks are solid, no oil on the blades. Lens hood is a little loose, so it’ll pop out fine but it may slide in itself, this is a very common issue with the built in lens hood version. The focus throw is smooth and firm, important for achieving critical focus wide open. The lens has a 6 bit coding, in my experience it’s worked just fine on my SL3.
I’m parting ways with it because it’s not really getting use from me, I find myself always gravitating to wider lenses! This is truly a special lens, it holds onto that Mandler magic, skin tones render beautifully and the bokeh is worthy enough to make this lens a signature statement.

Please note that it's important to understand the character of this lens at F/1. Its sharpness has a soft feel and the highlights maintain a glow, sometimes people are looking for modern critical sharpness and for that I would say this wouldn't be the lens for you. So who is this lens for? Someone who values character over sharpness and understands how to use that to their photographic needs.
