p.1 #1 · Rising Moon and Jupiter Conjunction in Tucson AZ

In Arizona we were out of the occultation zone so only a conjunction about 35 minutes after exit. Landscape view captured with a Nikon Z8 and 135mm Plena, plus the telescope view with an Astrophysics 110mm telescope and a Nikon Z8

#2 is just beautiful, with the Galilean moons, the earthshine off of our moon.

thanks good glass helps.... Astrophysics is top tier for telescopes- kind of a Leica, Zeiss, etc of telescopes.....

set up with Z8 shown, the field flattener is an impressive and heavy piece of glass coupled to the Z8 The optics on this scope are amazing and the entire scope is still cheaper than a top a Leica lens (or camera)- this photo is a Leica M11 photo with a Light Lens Lab 1966 noct lens.

Umm, yeh, AP is pretty much the top of the heap, ! Still less expensive than an RF 600/4 tho. My biggest question is how the heck you managed to get your hands on one??

For AP it is easy and luck of the draw, so when they announce the scope they put your name in the hat and draw winners to buy, for AP for some scopes it can be 10-20 years, for others like this one I guess close to two years for my draw and they call. Then call in the cc if one still wants one (if I was breathing I'd want), then pace up and down wait for the delivery guy, and then set it up. These are all hand made and figured to exacting standards, and made in USA, so it is a pay for what you get. It is the best optical telescope I have ever owned, and not too heavy for me to lift in old age.

Yep, not so heavy as a 130, nor nearly as pricey. Should be "stellar" for both photographic and visual. Little jealous!
