Thanks again to all for the great advice. Based on feedback here, lots of research, and my budget constraints I have settled on a different kit than originally planned. This all started with the 600mm f/6.3 which arrived from Sony last week. Then I found a used 1.4x and 2x, next was a 20-70 f/4 G lens, but still no camera. I wrestled with the decision between A7RVI and A1 Mark II for several weeks. In the end I decided to get a pre-owned A1 Mark II which I bought on the FM Buy & Sell Forum. My next purchase will be a 70-200 f2.8 GM OSS II. I wanted to get the new 100-400 but my budget said otherwise. I’m hoping that my 1.4x and 2x will play nice with the two telephotos, although I don’t expect miracles from the 2x. Now I just have to learn how to use an A1 II!...Show more →
Congrats on the new gear. Steve Perry has a nice A1II setup guide worth investing in... easy to follow along/use.
