p.1 #1 · Something a little different (multi-spectral shots)
I always convert my old camera to IR when I get a new camera, but when I went from DSLR to mirrorless, I didn't want to carry around two sets of lenses (and I wanted to transition to the mirrorless lenses because they're lighter and they are really fantastic optics). So I picked up a Z7 II and converted it, but went with a full spectrum conversion in case I wanted to shoot UV as well. The IR performance of the mirrorless system has been hit or miss (lots of hot spots on most lenses, etc.), but I still have managed some decent photos. I've actually found that using no filter and just getting what the lens gives you (mostly a mix of visible and IR) actually lends itself to some nice photographs.
I was up at one of my favorite spots on Mount Lemmon and with the setting sun glancing along the next rise, some trees were sticking up into the sunlight while the rest of the forest was in shadow. That always lends itself to drama in IR. I tried for some IR shots and wasn't happy, but when I took off the IR filter, the full spectrum shots looked very promising. Here are a few:

The combined visible and IR look is kinda cool, in my opinion, but I'm curious on everyone's take here.
