Feeling sort of silly here, but I'm trying a friends settings on the R5II and I often use auto ISO. The way my camera works is I push the set button in the middle of the quick control dial then move the main dial on top near the shutter button right or left to increase of decrease exposure compensation.
On his camera he has the set button you press and it goes right to zooming in on the focus point so you can check sharpness I like that.
What I can't figure out is how to change the exposure compensation since the set button now does something else. I do not want it as a control ring change.
So how do you change the exposure compensation without the set button and top main focus wheel?

If I set it to exposure compensation do I have to go back in and change it to ISO if I don't want auto ISO anymore or how do I get back to setting iso on my own?
I have always used the M-fn button and the main dial for exposure compensation on my R6m2 and R3. I was always bumping the rear top dial, it is turned off.
I set up a custom mode C1(M) on my R3 which turns on manual with auto ISO and puts exposure compensation on the dial around the MODE button, with shutter speed and aperture in their usual places on the front dial and back wheel. This is essentially an Av+Tv mode, which the cameras should have come with along with the Av, Tv and other modes that are already there.
I have it set to change the shooting parameters to values suitable for wildlife each time I enter C1(M), but the camera has a setting for changes to stick across exits from and entries into custom modes, in which case this would be the same as having an Av+Tv mode except for the labelling. You cannot make one custom mode sticky and another not, so I had to choose.
There’s no way to set the name of the custom mode so it actually reads “Av+Tv”.
