Hey y'all... I've been using the Panasonic 35mm f/1.8 on my SL2s for a while, and I am extremely pleased with the IQ, but I can't help but be at least a little bit interested in the Panasonic 40mm f/2 as a more compact option. I know that "SL2s" and "compact" don't really belong in the same sentence (or paragraph, honestly), but I'm wondering if it makes sense to add the 40 given I have the 35 or just replace the 35 outright with the 40 to have that smaller, lighter option.
Has anyone here compared the two? I know the 35 is highly regarded (and for good reason), and is rumored to just be a rehoused 35/2 Summicron possibly with some different coatings so I don't expect the 40 would beat it head-to-head, but in a real-world use case, does the 40 perform well enough to justify replacing the 35 or do they both get a spot in the bag?
