Well photographed, well restored and I like the fender flares.
The BMW is a 2002 tii, a cut above the standard offering and something I raced with my Porsche back in the 70s.
BMWs in Michigan is another story.
My wife and I drove to Detroit for business in a new 1983 528i with New York plates and the natives wanted to kill us because Detroit was not doing well back then.
They would be happy to know the BMW was returned under the "Lemon Law."

The drive train of the 528 was the best you could get. In-line 6 with 240 or so HP. The gadgets and electrics is what killed them.
from 2006 to 2025 I drove a 328 Xi Touring for my business. After 435,000 km I finally replaced it. Other than regular maintenance absolutely faultless.

My wife insisted on a manual transmission and when you downshifted into 3rd it went crunch and BMW readily admitted it was a factory defect from ZF and there was nothing they could do.
