p.1 #1 · My First Close up Bear Pictures with the Sony A7RVI

I was blessed and thrilled with this visit from a bear this afternoon. He had jumped our fence to chow down on the bird feeder. I just recently acquired the Sony A7RVI . Still getting it set up and learning the camera. I had it setup for shooting birds. When I saw the bear , I just grabbed the camera , didn’t check settings , image that , and started shooting. The bear was in no hurry to leave despite my presence . The shutter speed was 1/1250 resulting in ISO 8000. I was so pleased with how this camera handled that high ISO especially since there was not a lot of light. There was not much noise and the shadows raised so easily . Very happy with the camera , big improvement. Now just need to figure it all out.

This is a great shot Birdie. Looks like the bear is already salivating so, why would he be in a hurry to leave

Have fun with your new camera.

Excellent close ups, Roberta!
It looks to me like you already have the camera figured out pretty well. You did an excellent job of dialing in proper exposures.
Have fun with your new toy -- it's obviously an excellent camera.
