Hey Scott! Thanks for letting me know your favorites. I agree it can fun to go back through a past shoot and see what was initially missed. It kind of brings some of the original insipiration while there back to the mind again, it’s good brain chemistry

I'm going to do a Maine/NH loop then head down to the Blue Ridge, Just a lot of things moving right now and a shorter/closer trip feels better...
Gives me something to look forward to for next year...

With those excellent multiple locations I sure think you are going to find some sweet scenes.

Scott, have you heard how conditions might be in CO this year for fall color? I thought I read that CO had much less snowfall/moisture than normal and wondering how that might impact colors. Last fall Utah had been in drought, yet the aspen colors were really good in most places.

We are 1 and half hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The best view area has been closed due to Hurricane Helene for last 3 years.
This Fall the disconnected part will be opened and fully open entire Blue Ridge Parkway.
I think you may enjoy the views from the best part if you visit this Fall.

Sounds good, Jung! It has taken a long time to finish repairs from Helene and it will be great to have it all opened again. I have spent a lot of time on the Parkway between Asheville and Cherokee over the last couple decades, but have only been on the Virginia section a couple times.

That’s good to know, Scott. Wow, exciting to think that aspens are already going off! With gas prices being crazy (I tow a 5th wheel) I decided to stay in my region this fall, but I sure want to get back to Colorado, perhaps next fall.

I hear you, yeah, those gas prices are definitely not road-trip friendly Ross, especially towing a 5th wheel! Well I hope you find some good opportunities in Ohio and surrounding areas. A few years ago, I was in Northwestern Michigan for fall colors around Harbor Springs, Petoskey area and thought it was pretty amazing. Maybe worth a shorter road trip up that way if you haven't been?
Colors here are just barely starting to turn. Where I live in Eagle area, there are no colors changing yet (maybe just a tinge, but not much). I was in Vail this afternoon and this is what it looks like there. I'd say we're on schedule for peaking around the 25th of September judging how it looks now and from previous years.

Hope you have a great fall season there, Scott! Oh yes, Michigan has some stunning colors in fall. I especially love to shoot in the Upper Peninsula in late September, early October. I will likely head to the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, only about 5 hours from me so makes a good camping destination that’s not too far, and those areas are a playground for photographers.
