I see it's dark by the exposure and it's a nice photo. I've seen Great Egrets gather this way on a fine day at their colony. Were they there before the approaching storm?

Thanks Morris. No, they started arriving as the storm neared. Evidently they see it as a safe haven. Normally they stay up in the trees, but got closer to ground/water as the storm started to arrive. I had to leave because of the lightning... it was fierce.
