My funky little town nearby, Frederick, has history going back to pre-Revolutionary War era.
It has 2 "nicknames", the "KEY" city after Francis Scott Key who lived here and practiced law here....and "City of Spires"..after the beautiful church spires that pierce the skyline.....
Here is a rare "key" endorsement.

That's an interesting ode to one of the great early Americans Dan. But how do you finger that fret board in the first?

..I am a bass player...so 4 strings is all I require! Depending on what 4th note I require may allow me to "reach" for that strings note in this "gapped" placement...!
Many 5 string bass players tuned their 5th string to an "A or C" not a "B"..less reach for those small fingers...
I let the "gitar man" work the other "locations" out! He is the one that usually gets "the big bucks". The drummer and myself are only there for rhythm.... The ole delta blues men used a "cigar box" guitar or even a "shovel guitar".

Best "grub" within 5 minutes, or less, in any direction. Eat in or eat out! If you are a wine, whiskey or song type of person, you have every brew, whiskey, other also 25ft from Carroll Creek.
Some of "theee" finest past, present and future, musicians make this area their home. Freely giving of their talents at the Weinberg Center or at the Baker Park Bandshell.
These "brouthers" and I did some "jive talkin'" shared a few laughs and went on our way.
Wish the town was "reoriented" a bit so the sun would progress the West a bit more for evening light.
